Celebrate National Pet Day in Little Italy | April 11

Category: Stories

With Little Italy being home to over 2,000 pups, we know how to celebrate and make their day special! This Sunday is National Pet Day and what better place to treat your furry friend on their special day, than Little Italy?

Start the day by stretching your paws at the Little Italy Dog Park. The dog park offers owners plenty of shady spots to sit and relax, as well as a dedicated area to small dogs, the Batta | Fulkerson Small Dog Park, and a water fountain to quench your pups’ thirst after a long afternoon playing with their friends at the Gordie “Handsome Prince” Howe Lawn that keeps the pups’ paws cool and is odor resistant thanks to ForeverLawn.

While your pup runs around and makes new pup-friends, grab a quick shot of espresso at Caffè Caritàzza, located outside the Amici House next to the Dog Park. Let them play freely and meet up with the other neighborhood dogs. Once they’re done playing, treat them to the spa day of their dreams at Bella Woof Spa. Your pup is sure to love their keratin shampoo treatment, mud bath and blueberry facial. Finish off your day by taking them to Doggie Style Pets to pick out their new favorite toy. Their offerings include some of the cutest toys including a Silly Squeakers Beer Bottle Dos Perros Dog Toy.

With Al Fresco dining still in full swing, your furry friend can have a nice nap while you enjoy a delicious bite at places like Civico 1845, Monello, Davanti Enoteca, and Barbusa. Some places like Landini’s Pizzeria even have some complimentary treats for you fur baby.

On your walk back home or to your car, be sure to make one final stop at Caffe Italia to treat yourself to gelato or a cappuccino and pick up a yummy treat for your doggo too!
