Solo Italiano

Dinner in Rosso // Friday, October 12, 2018 from 5:00pm to 10:00pm

Festival // Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 10:00am to 6:00pm

After 22 years of hosting San Diego’s Little Italy FESTA!, the Little Italy Association of San Diego (LIA) has created a brand new event, Solo Italiano (Only Italian), to supersede the annual FESTA!. Solo Italiano will launch in October of 2018 and the LIA will have a gap year in 2017, where no events will take place. This will give the LIA plenty of time to plan, execute and host a successful inaugural Solo Italiano festival in the new Piazza della Famiglia. The brand new event will offer guests a truly authentic Italian experience in San Diego’s Little Italy, while helping raise funds for the LIA to continue its efforts to enhance and preserve the history and charm of the community.

In 2018, get ready to escape for the weekend to Little Italy’s brand-new two-day event, Solo Italiano, and experience authentic Italian entertainment, food, drinks, Gesso Italiano (Italian Chalk) and more this Fall, on Friday, October 12, 2018 and Saturday, October 13, 2018. Solo Italiano will take place in the new Piazza della Famiglia, a 10,000-square-foot European-inspired piazza in the heart of San Diego’s Little Italy.

Friday’s Dinner in Rosso will be a one-of-a-kind curated dining experience featuring flowing Italian food all evening, sips of Italian beverages, strolling entertainment, and interactive performances. Saturday’s Solo Italiano will span over five blocks of the neighborhood—each block modeling a different region of Italy—Tuscany, Milan, Rome and Sicily, along with a beer and wine garden and a Bambino area for kids.

Family, friends, neighbors and visitors are invited to experience Solo Italiano and take a trip to the boot-shaped country, getting a little taste of each region’s signature experiences, novelties, live entertainment and distinct culture.

Two ticket options will be available for the weekend of Solo Italiano. For access to both events, tickets are priced at $225 a person. To attend only Dinner in Rosso, tickets are $200. Tickets for Saturday’s Solo Italiano festival are priced at $45 for adults, $15 for kids between 10 and 16 years of age, and free for kids under 10. Tickets will be available in early 2018.
