Art Social: Fundraising Art Show

Saturday, October 1, 2016 to Friday, December 23, 2016

Little Italy will be welcoming a new social spot to the neighborhood come December 2016 — Piazza Giannini. The Piazza is in honor of the great Italian American, Amadeo P. Giannini, the founder of Bank of Italy, today known as Bank of America. Giannini is the man who invented branch banking in the U.S. and the concept of “social equity.”

Piazza Giannini will be a 500 square foot public space at the corner of W. Cedar and India Streets. The Piazza will feature tables and chairs with umbrellas and a bust and pedestal dedication to Giannini. To help raise funds to complete this project, Meyer Fine Art will be hosting an “Art Social” exhibit from October 1st to December 23rd with selected works ranging in the price of $750 and less. 20%-30% of the proceeds will benefit the Little Italy Association’s efforts to bring this social gathering spot to the community. The show will feature a variety of art at affordable prices for the novice and seasoned collectors.
