Little Italy Parking District

In early 2010, Centre City Development Corporation (CCDC), now Civic San Diego, entered into an agreement with the Little Italy Association to manage the 45% of parking meter revenues that are allocated to San Diego’s Little Italy; to maximize parking and alleviate the strain of parking on surface streets.

In 2011, a Comprehensive Parking Plan, created by New City America, Inc., was given to CCDC and City officials on the overview of how the Little Italy Association could maximize parking in the Little Italy District via programs and reconfiguration of existing parking.  With several programs currently underway, the Little Italy Association has launched freeway way-finding signs; Free 2-Hour Parking every Saturday at three different lots; an In-House Valet Parking Program that operates at four locations, surface street re-striping; and much more planned for future launch.

If you have any questions on these or other proposed parking programs, please contact Christopher Gomez at chris@littleitalysd.com or call 619-233-3898.
